We have a great community here in Mangere Bridge and my family and I volunteer for the various clean ups that our local group “The Friend’s of the Farm” organise. This event was part of the national sustainable coast lines event. My Son and I were allocated a section of foreshore to clean up, Amongst the items collected were a car tyre broken glass bear bottles (Sol must have been on special) and various tiny bits of plastic, These tiny pieces of plastic are a real problem for marine life as fish eat them but then cannot digest them. There was a documentary film maker from Germany in attendance I spoke to him briefly and they will use the completed documentary in Germany as part of their efforts to improve European coastlines. It was great to see members of the community coming together to make a difference. Every little bit helps.
While two V-belts may look similar to the casual observer, engineering design processes and materials can vary greatly, leading to vast differences in performance. With nearly 100 years of experience, Gates advanced V- belt systems are constructed to out-perform and outlast all other competitive products.
Vibration Analysis by SAECOWilson. This is the predominant technology employed in condition monitoring to determine the condition of various mechanical components and so be able to predict the expected life of a component and the urgency of possible repairs required.
Renee Taylor - Sir Peter Blake Trust MERC BBQ
I took the opportunity through the SAECOWilson Community Day program to help the Sir Peter Blake Trust MERC with fundraising. MERC stands for Marine Education and Recreation Centre and was started to give outdoor education experiences to children that would not otherwise get to experience those types of activities (eg. Sailing, kayaking, snorkeling and archery). They are a not-for-profit organisation and require various forms or fundraising to continue, I was happy to be able to help them out in a very small way.
